The devs are active in the community and clearly put a lot of work into the game. It was worth the 13 dollars, but I don't think it is worth anything above that as I believe this game has a small replayability rate unless you up the difficulty.. Basically I keep wishing this game was like King of Dragon Pass. You can't really do anything with your nation beyond a few 30 or so options that can only happen once, basically once you reach the max height of power in the game there's nothing to do.. Runs like a game on Windows 95 and has as much depth as a floppy disk. It's not bad, but there are so many games of similar genre but much better for just a tad more money. It's worth exploring other options.. Full of irony and pretty challenging in the first hours, it slows down after the beginning phases and loses a lot of steam due to a repetitive structure.. If there was a "meh" or neutral review of some sort, I would use it for this game.The game isn't horrible, it's just rather simple. After playing the game for a very short amount of time, you learn that the depth is very surface-level and that your playstyle isn't going to be changing past the first few playthroughs. I'd skip this one, but if you're dying to play it, buy it on sale.. Interesting game of you already know what from the description and all... It's chilled out, and fun so far. SUMMARY: I pulled out a pistol and shot the tutorial advisor for discovering that I was rigging an election, and then made a Steel trade agreement over the phone with a neighboring country while he bled to death on my marble floor. Pretty awesome.THE GOOD: For a political game, you have a lot of directions you can move in. Advisor confidence, international relations (un, us), national relations (three neighboring middle east countries), faction relatons (liberals, fundamentalists), and intelligence projects that can be used to manipulate all of these. There's a lot of interesting aspects for such a cheap political game.THE BAD: Ultimately, the game is just a matter of answering politically-oriented questions with the end result being that some points go here and other points go there, while trying to maximize your total points across all piles (each pile being something that can acccumulate influence, like a faction or a country). In that sense, it can get boring (especially in the long run), but I pardon it on account of its price.THE SIMILAR: The policy and faction aspect of Tropico is clearly visible here, but not the SimCity-aspect of Tropico.Overall, worth a try.. Awful production value (as in: should have skipped having the VO instead of doing it yourself), but there's enough in terms of fairly fresh ideas and unique feel to give it a go. (and there's an option to disable the VO)
